Exploding from the dark charcoal smoke, these vibrant flares of reds, purples, gold and copper represent the wonder of fireworks that I have always loved.
Painted on a slate grey base and finished with resin to create a high gloss, glass like effect. Presented in a black painted, floating wood frame.

Grey series
This is a very different style to my other bloom compositions
I wanted to create something that looks and feels more abstract, something that is open to individual interpretation more and I am so happy with the result.
I have used a slate grey base on which I’ve used crimson, purple, bronze, gold and black.
I embellished the painting when it was dry to give more detail to the composition and to almost guide the eye. The more you look at this the more detail you see, it’s quite hypnotic.

Grey series "Iris Bloom"
I was really nervous taking on such a large canvas as this but I am so happy with the result of this gorgeous piece. I love they way the bronze, gold and pearl violet create eye catching highlights.
I embellished the center whilst still wet to create detail that would draw you into the painting. The more you look at this the more detail you see, its quite hypnotic.
